Our pride..still..
View from our flight window-The Everest, standing high above the rest.
Yeap..my first time in Kathmandu....very cooling...it was 24 degree Celsius when we landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport...oh yeah...stands at an elevation of 1,350m (4,430 ft) above sea level, I really love the weather.
Tribhuvan International Airport
BUT... as what we Malay always say, "langit tak selalu cerah". Hamdan lost his bag at the airport...our tourist coach (..or van?) driver squeezing in between cars and lorries, the endlessly honking sound raping my eardrums but the worst part is...this city is so bloody dusty ...! Oh my God...aaarrgghhh...I'm an asthmatic..would it be ok? ..ugh...i hope so.
well what did you expect from this city which 'hugging' 5.2 million people??? ..yea..i said 'hugging' because everywhere you go or even when you move around, you tend to bump to somebody or vehicles...dayummm..it's full of people dude..!!
Narrow, dusty streets..full of people...mostly foreigners...
No..no..it's not a stick up...
We were located at the Hotel Harati at Gangalal Marg Road somewhere in Thamel. The facilities were a little dated and worn but still nice and comfortable...
Malaysian electrical Engineers...beat this...
We spend our first day walking around Thamel...sight seeing, shopping, eating (they have nice restaurants and cafes here), photographing, the best...feasting my eyes with hiking equipment and gears. *happy*
